All in One Grow Bag
How to use and set up our All in One Grow Bag.
Preparation:
- Store your All-In-One Bag in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to begin. Gather your chosen liquid culture or spores, along with the sterile injection needle.
- Set up a clean, smooth work area, and thoroughly disinfect all surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. To create a still-air environment, turn off any fans and close windows at least twenty minutes in advance. The cleaner your space, the lower the risk of contamination—a sanitized kitchen or bathroom works well for beginners in mycology.
Inoculation::
- Put on nitrile gloves and sanitize them with isopropyl alcohol.
- Clean the injection port on the All-In-One Bag with isopropyl alcohol.
- Shake the liquid culture syringe well for about 1 minute.
- Carefully inject the liquid culture or spores into the bag via the injection port at various angles to distribute the mycelium culture solution.
- Do not open the bag, but mix the bag up as best as you can with the goal to distribute the mycelium culture solution as evenly as possible throughout the bag.
Incubation:
- Place the inoculated bag away from direct sunlight in a clean, warm area, away from pets and children, with a temperature range of 75-80°F (24-27°C).
- Allow the bag to incubate for 2-3 weeks until 60% colonization.
- At 60% colonization, break the colonized grains up in the bag without opening it.
- Mix thoroughly and then place back for recolonization (additional 2-4 weeks).
Fruiting:
- Once the substrate is fully colonized, place the bag in a spot with indirect light.
- Cut small slits in the bag to allow for fresh air exchange, which will trigger fruiting. Cover the slits with micropore tape.
- Keep the temperature between 65-75°F (18-24°C). The bag will maintain high humidity as long as the only openings are the slits and it’s not exposed to direct airflow.
